Creative Process

Beginning with an overall vision, color palette and pattern sketch, my initial process mirrors that of an architect's technical drawing, yet allows for serendipitous twists and turns along the way toward completion. Utilizing a diverse array of tools and techniques, I bring my artistic vision to life in tangible form.

Each artwork is a symphony of paint and oil, carefully applied to surfaces with a hint of translucency, transforming flat planes into dynamic volumes that shift with perspective. My pieces marry precision with artistic flair, blending engineering, woodworking, and painting into a harmonious whole.

Both hot and cold rolled steel can be polished and treated to create various colors and textures for custom-sized frames.

Wood and metal pieces are carefully cut and crafted to fit into the design's vision, forming patterns, diversity, and depth.

Various types of wood are selected to enhance the natural beauty of different colors, patterns, and textures including Jatoba, Ipe, sapele, tigerwood, maple, padauk, merbau, fir, purple heart, zebrawood, walnut, cherry.

All elements undergo a meticulous assembly process, merging seamlessly into the ultimate architectural design. The finishing touches vary, with options ranging from paint and oil to a natural sealant, each carefully chosen to complement the selected color palette. This approach ensures the realization of the striking visual design envisioned.
